Expedition Equipment And Field Operations Systems

CAJJIA EVENFALL OUTDOOR SERVICES LLC delivers six connected services that together form a complete camp operating system. Each service can be engaged on its own, but they are designed to interlock so that a group receives one coherent rig, one certification register and one service calendar for the season.

S-01 Outfitting

Expedition Equipment Outfitting

Outfitting is the foundation of every programme we run. We assess group size, route profile, expected weather and the skill level of the least experienced member, then build a closed equipment envelope that covers shelter, sleep, carry, weather protection and navigation. Each item is assigned a role, a storage position and a repair path, so nothing enters the rig without a reason.

The output of this service is a printed manifest paired with a packing diagram. Group leaders can inventory the entire kit by reading crate labels in sequence, which reduces the pre-trip equipment check from an hour of searching to a short walk through labelled stations. We also supply a fair-weather and a foul-weather configuration so the leader can swap shells without rebuilding the load.

S-02 Kitchens

Field Kitchen Systems

The field kitchen is where our systems thinking is most visible. We lay out burners, wind screens, fuel storage, prep surfaces and cleaning stations as a single working circuit with a defined cook flow. Cooking throughput is calculated against group size and adjusted for cold, altitude and wind, so the specified burner count is honest rather than optimistic.

Around that circuit we build a nesting set of kettles, pans, utensils and serving ware that packs without wasted volume and hangs without improvisation. The kettle and pans are sized for S hooks on a tripod crossbar, and the lantern chain position is specified in the diagram so the cook never works in shadow. Every kitchen ships with a spare jet set, a mechanical lighter and a printed lighting sequence any group member can follow.

S-03 Planning

Trail Programme Planning

Programme planning converts a route into a daily operating rhythm. We map each day against daylight hours, elevation gain, terrain difficulty and pack weight, then place meal blocks and rest windows where the group will actually need them. The goal is to reach camp with enough energy and enough light to cook properly rather than eating cold food in the dark.

Plans include resupply points, water sources, emergency exits and communication windows. We deliver the plan as a working document with adjustable daily targets, so a leader can shorten or lengthen a stage without losing the structure of the trip. Where a programme runs for multiple groups across a season, we produce a master calendar that prevents equipment double-booking.

S-04 Certification

Gear Inspection and Certification

Inspection is the service that earns trust. Our technicians test stoves, burners, lanterns, harnesses, ropes, poles and carry systems against published tolerance limits, then record the result in a certification register. Passing items receive a dated tag that travels with the kit, while failed items are quarantined with a written defect note describing the fault and the required remedy.

Because equipment degrades quietly, we recommend a re-inspection cycle at every return from the field and a full recertification before each season. The register lets a group prove the condition of its kit to insurers, schools and land managers, and it turns maintenance from a guess into a schedule. Any asset that fails twice for the same fault is flagged for retirement.

S-05 Logistics

Group Camp Logistics

Camp logistics decides how a group arrives, unloads and settles. We produce a loading diagram that places the kitchen crate and shelter kit at the hatch, which shortens the distance between vehicle and cooking area and keeps the first evening calm. Crates are sequenced so that the items needed first are the items that come out first.

This service also covers campsite layout, water resupply, waste handling and evening lighting plans. We map tent lines away from cooking surfaces, position fuel storage downwind and set lantern anchor points so nothing swings into a stove. For larger programmes we coordinate transport windows and staging areas so multiple groups can share a trailhead without conflict.

S-06 Lifecycle

Equipment Lifecycle Management

Lifecycle management follows every asset from purchase through service to retirement. We maintain service intervals, spare-part kits and replacement forecasts for the whole inventory, so a group never inherits a mystery stove or an expired fuel canister. Each asset carries a history that includes inspections, repairs, field hours and the technician who signed it off.

The service produces an annual condition report and a three-season replacement forecast, which gives budget owners a predictable spending path instead of emergency purchases. When an item reaches the end of its service life, we recommend a like-for-like replacement or an upgrade and dispose of the retired asset responsibly. This is the service that keeps the other five working year after year.

How A Programme Moves Through Our Workshop

Every engagement follows the same four-stage process, whether the client is a small research team or a multi-group guide operation. The stages are deliberately sequential, because skipping one is how a camp ends up with a beautiful stove and no fuel plan.

STAGE 1

Discovery And Scoping

We map group size, terrain, season length and cooking expectations, then produce a programme outline naming the services we recommend.

STAGE 2

Dry Rig And Review

Our workshop stages the full rig so the client can inspect the pack layout and adjust the manifest before anything is certified or shipped.

STAGE 3

Inspection And Certification

Each item is tested against tolerance limits, tagged with a date and technician, and entered into the certification register.

STAGE 4

Delivery And Service Cycles

Equipment is delivered with its manifests and diagrams, and our team runs scheduled service cycles across the season.

Engagement Models

Clients choose either a full programme or a phased build. A full programme engages all six services for a single season and receives one integrated manifest, one certification register and one logistics diagram. A phased build begins with field kitchen systems and gear inspection, then adds logistics and lifecycle management as the season lengthens.

All engagements include a named point of contact at our Sherwood Dr office and a written response standard for field issues. Seasonal clients also receive priority scheduling for re-inspection when equipment returns.

What Every Client Receives

  • A printed equipment manifest with matching crate photographs.
  • A packing and loading diagram for vehicle or pack transport.
  • A certification register with dated inspection tags.
  • A spare-parts pouch matched to the certified rig.
  • A seasonal service calendar with re-inspection reminders.
